Fox just used inclusive language (in spanish, like latine) for their promo for POSE. interesting.
here are the videos. i think that they are gonna use inclusive language in ALL their subtitles in this serie (at least, in Argentina).
I hate that we have to have “proof” for inclusive language, but at the same time i know that FOX using inclusive language will answer the irritating things that people say like “well, it’s just used by TUMBLR/you people/it doesnt make sense and it won’t be used!” because, guys, inclusive language started to get known here a year ago and FOX is already using it for a show (especially, a show like POSE).
In the Faculty of Journalism and Social Communication of the National University of La Plata, they use inclusive language, and you’re expected to use it. Professors will correct you if you don’t. More and more people are starting to accept it.
Nice! A lot of professors use it and talk positively about it in the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature (UBA). It’s interesting because they all have different takes to explain how language inclusive actually makes sense and it should be used.
